Furniture City Creamery

branding

Furniture City Creamery, a cherished Grand Rapids-local French ice cream shop and mobile catering service, serves the greater West Michigan area with premium flavor and vintage charm. The brand’s visual identity comes to life through the vibrant and playful design, including whimsical illustrations and a clean, approachable typography that resonates with both children and adults alike. With a color palette including such colors as “chocolate chip,” “Gram’s Blanket,” “Grandpa’s Chevy,” and “lemon cake,” the hand-crafted creamery leans into nostalgic roots and nods to the simplicity of the universal love of ice cream.
A highlight of the catering experience is its 1968 Ford Olsonette ice cream truck, lovingly dubbed Winnie. After a vinyl wrap from Fast Signs, Winnie now reflects the warmth and joy of the brand while showcasing her vintage charm. The wrap integrates a nostalgic color palette of soft pastels with pops of color contrasts, complemented by smile-inducing copy that invites people to indulge in sweet treats wherever she pulls up.
Whether rolling up to a wedding, picking up a pint from the local market, or making an outing to the shop - not ironically located on Cherry Street, Furniture City Creamery spreads joy with every scoop, blending vintage character with modern design to create a true local favorite.
