Sheldon Clubhouse, formerly Sheldon House, is a non-profit organization in downtown Grand Rapids supports its members on their journey from mental illness to mental wellness. After taking a massive dip in membership numbers post-pandemic, Sheldon Clubhouse needed more awareness and understanding around the services they provide. We started by researching and surveying those who matter most: the members, the staff, and the Board. And we were able to successfully identify problems that were holding them back. We then moved into creating a lively brand that rallied around being a “Bridge to the Life You Want.” And now, membership is on the rise!

We held an on-site interview with the Members themselves, right there at Sheldon House. More than just a business development facilitation, this disco involved opportunity for teaching and learning among the members, as LWG built trust among those present to share their most personal stories living with mental illness and the vulnerability that exists in the medical community. With this disco complete, LWG next interviewed the staff, leadership, and advisory board members to gain a broader vision for the impact and lived experiences of Sheldon House.
